About the Survey
Our Economic & Urban Development Survey asks for your input on the issues that matter most to your neighborhood — from infrastructure and public services to jobs, small business growth, and housing.
  • Takes 5 minutes
  • Designed by local college students in the Civic Tech Scholars program
  • Your answers help shape a policy brief shared with public officials and local business leaders this summer
  • Available in English and Spanish
Help us reach 5,000 submissions across San Antonio
We’re aiming ambitiously for 5,000 responses to build a clearer, more complete picture of San Antonio from every district, every voice, every neighborhood.
Why we are Launching this Survey
Last year, the Better Futures Institute hosted roundtable discussions with local leaders to explore some of San Antonio’s biggest challenges. But those conversations only told part of the story. Now, we want to hear directly from you, the residents. This survey aims to understand how people across San Antonio experience urban and economic development, and how they believe the city can better serve their needs.
Led by Students, Rooted in Community
This is a student-led initiative, developed by young adults who have grown up in San Antonio, study here, and care deeply about the city's future. Our goal is to produce a comprehensive report that reflects the full spectrum of perspectives across the city, regardless of zip code, income, or education level. By highlighting community voices, we aim to ensure that real experiences guide real solutions.
Who’s Behind This?
Meet the scholar cohort behind the survey.
The Civic Tech Scholars Program gives students hands-on experience in policy research, data analysis, and community engagement. They’re partnering with neighbors like you to spotlight what San Antonio needs, and what it can become.
