Fizza Dhuka is a rising junior at the University of Texas at Austin studying Economics, Business, and Entrepreneurship. As a Civic Tech Scholar at the Better Futures Institute, she translates field research from site visits, surveys, and interviews into design recommendations that improve civic tech tools for workforce and economic development in San Antonio, collaborating closely with stakeholders to communicate findings. She also partners with UT Austin departments to conduct research, identifying community needs and informing program design through user interviews and insightful analysis. Driven by curiosity and a passion for connecting with people, Fizza aims for a career in product management, where strategy, user focus, and real-world impact intersect. She is eager to develop these skills alongside changemakers at BFI!
